DESIGN Harvests

DESIGN Harvests is the innovation and entrepreneurship platform aiming to build the inter-communication between urban and rural field. Since 2008, DESIGN Harvests has been carried out in Xianqiao Village, Chongming Island, Shanghai. It is hoped that from the perspective of Design Thinking, the potential of traditional rural production and lifestyle will be explored to promote urban-rural communication and sustainable development. 

The vision of “DESIGN Harvests” is to build a huge “design-driven urban-rural interaction” crowd-funding, innovative and entrepreneurial ecological community. In this community, people have ideals, provide creative solutions for China's “three rural issues” and sustainable urban and rural development through active intervention, innovation and entrepreneurship, aim at the imbalance between urban and rural development in China.
